BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – According to several pro-government field journalists in the Daraa Governorate, many localities in the southeastern part of the province have accepted reconciliation deals.
The field journalists claim reconciliation deals have been established in the historical city of Busra Al-Sham and several surrounding towns near the Al-Sweida Governorate.
Al-Masdar has reached out to the Syrian military to confirm these reports; however, a source stated that these are just preliminary reports.
The source said that nothing has been applied yet and the rebel forces have not moved their fighters out of any of these towns.
A ceasefire was announced by Jordan this evening, following a tumultuous week filled with heavy fighting and bloodshed.
With this new ceasefire in place, the Syrian and Russian reconciliation delegations will now attempt to pursuade the rebels to quit their fight against the government.
