Izbili su sukobi izmedju dve grupe pobunjenika u istočnoj Ghouti odmah nakon delovanja artiljerije SAA na pobunjeničke položaje.

Prema navodima lokalnih novinara, Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham – grupa koja je inače povezana sa Al- Qaidom, napala je grad Kafr Batna kako bi zauzela kuće unutar ovog mesta i upotrebila ih kao skloništa od artiljerije SAA.

Ljuti meštani ovog grada su zajedno sa pobunjeničkom grupom Failaq al-Rahman uzvratili vatru tako da je u gradu nastao pravi rat izmedju već navedenih grupa.

Iako su se obe grupe ranije dogovorile o miru, HTS militanti odbili su da napuste ovaj grad nakon čega su i ranili nekoliko civila snajperskom vatrom.

U obračunima je do sada povredjena i ubijena nekolicina pobunjenika sa obe strane.
