BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:50 P.M.) – A delegation from the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) traveled to the Syrian capital of Damascus, Monday, to meet with the government in the next few days.

On the agenda for the meeting is the current conditions of the Palestinian refugee camps, including the newly liberated Yarmouk Camp, which was home to Palestinian refugees since the 1950s.

The meeting is expected to take place on Tuesday and will include Palestinian community leaders in Syria.

This is the first official meeting between the PLO and Syrian government since the latter retook the Yarmouk Camp District from the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) in southern Damascus.
