DAMASCUS, SYRIA (7:15 P.M.) – With stage three of the ‘Big Dawn’ offensive unfolding before the world audience, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) captured a group of ISIS fighters alive in eastern Syria on Tuesday morning.

The ISIS insurgents, depicted below, surrendered themselves to the SAA near the town of Khusham, east of the Euphrates River in Deir Ezzor, after they were discovered hiding inside an isolated building that was surrounded by an SAA forward unit.

Photos of the incident:

With the tables turned and Islamic State forces suddenly besieged inside the provincial capital of Deir Ezzor, more and more jihadist belligerents have begun to turn themselves in to security forces instead of facing certain death.

Once the SAA fully liberates Deir Ezzor city, government forces are expect to thrust south and eastwards in the governorate to retake the border with Iraq.

The sad part is when SAA & Hezb soldiers were caught we all have seen videos of their head being cut and displayed by these scum bags and there was no war crime for Daesh. Now SAA cant shoot these surrendering scum bags as it will become a war crime and UN and the Human right watch dogs will come running to rescue them what a sad state affair. Best thing ensure not to take any photos of such surrendering and just bunch up these killers and without any mercy shoot them and just think that you just shot rabid… Read more »

If they have surrender to SAA thay had to be taken to the prison. SAA is not the terrorist group.

If you kill them you have nothing, maybe the good feelings but only the empty hands. If you take them to the prison you can get the usefull informations, which you can use for later. About SDF/USA and ISIS maybe..SAA should be smarter. To think on the future.

Just because your neighbour beats his wife ,it does that make it legitimate to beat yours. It is important in any conflict to retain the high moral ground in spite of provocations.
Let proper justice take its course .

ISIS may live with a barbaric and counter productive Medieval ideology.
The moderately more civilised in the 21st century should not .
To win the peace Syria MUST not.

Killing killers is not the same as killing an innocent person. These captives are the invaders/destroyers of Syria and they are proxies of foreign powers.

It may well be that after a FAIR trial many ISIS are executed. It is NOT the prerogative if individuals to to that in any disciplined army.

A abhor the mindless cruelty of ISIS and Al Nusra and absolutely sympathise with the anger the SAA soldiers must feel. This anger MUST be contained. If not Syria is no better than the rabid and murderous state of Israel.

Floriangeyer, the Daesh Sunni Terrorists are now surrendering because they know it is a lost cause and they simply do not wanna die. These bastards are smart and they wanna live now that’s why they are surrendering. Way back in 2014 – 2015 – 2016 and early 2017 they did not show any mercy to any one. If they had followed ethics then they can expect the same. Al Bhagdadi & his bunch of seniors aren’t any more available to guide, motivate these lunatics. These jokers just finally realized that the promised 72 virgin whores might not be available, they… Read more »

But doesn’t the Geneva convention only apply to official soldiers during a war and not mercenaries. I don’t think killing mercenaries who have invaded your country, even after capturing them, is a war crime.

SAA DONT ONLY CONCENTRATE IN THE DIER ZOR CITY ITSELF FIRST TO LIBERTAE . MAIN GOAL IS ALSO TO CUT SDF BEFORE THEY GO FOR THE BORDER OF ABUKAMAL , SAA KNOWS ISIL IS HELPING SDF/US TO LIBERTAE BORDER WITH IRAQ. IF SDF DOES THAT THEN IS WORTHESS FOR SAA TO STAY THAT SIDE.

I am sorry you delete my comments. I support Syrian government, I know that there is the war . But the Syrian Army is not a terrorist group that kills his surrended prisoners. Even ISIS. Actually I thought that the video was made to blame Syrian Army..

At least these guys realize the game´s up.
More sinister is the ISIS jihadis now rebranded as FSA/SDF, etc., etc.
Without inviting Russia and the USA to fight each other, the Syrian army should hit the SDF/FSA just as they did in Aleppo and elsewhere.
The proper Kurds up north will have their real priorities with Turkey and Iraq.
