BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:40 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their large-scale offensive in the eastern part of Damascus, Wednesday, targeting the territory controlled by the jihadist rebels in Jobar and ‘Ayn Tarma.
Led by the 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army managed to advance inside the Taybah sector of Jobar, capturing several buildings around the strategic mosque.
Meanwhile, in the town of ‘Ayn Tarma, another battalion from the 105th Brigade managed to take control of a strategic tunnel and much of the Al-Jisr Neighborhood, following a long battle with militants from Faylaq Al-Rahman.

The Syrian Arab Army also inflicted heavy damage on the jihadist defenses in the eastern part of Damascus, killing an important commander from the Al-Shishani Group of Faylaq Al-Rahman.
