BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:25 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a large-scale offensive in the northeastern countryside of the Hama Governorate this past weekend, targeting the Al-Qaeda linked Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham terrorist group’s positions near the key town of Al-Rahjan.

Led by elements of the Republican Guard and Qalamoun Shield forces of the 3rd Division, the Syrian Arab Army managed to capture several sites in the northeastern countryside of Hama, clearing much of the territory directly west of the Ithriya-Khanasser Highway.

Among the several sites captured by the Syrian Army this past weekend were the towns of Al-Musharifeh, Rasm Al-Tenah, Tal Al-Shakousiyah, and Jubb Al-Ahmar.
