DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:30 P.M.) – At the moment, Jaish Al-Islam fighters are undergoing extensive training in the eastern farmland of Damascus, presumably in preparation for the next wave of attacks by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).
New images from the East Ghouta depicts Islamist militants exercising with wood logs, climbing beneath and jumping through obstacles, and being sprayed with water hoses to stay in good fighting condition and physical shape.
The following photos were all taken from the ‘Khaled Ibn Al-Waled’ camp just outside Douma while the training was supervised by Jaish Al-Islam commanders:
Despite infighting with rival opposition groups, Jaish Al-Islam remains the most powerful rebel faction in the East Ghouta pocket while its fighters are generously provided with cash and weapons smuggled from Saudi Arabia.
Not long ago, Jaish Al-Islam released a lengthy battle video showing a compilation of deadly battles with the SAA on the eastern outskirts of Damascus.
