DAMASCUS, SYRIA (1:35 P.M.) – ISIS-inspired militants have established a rigorous training camp in southwestern Daraa, just a few kilometers off the border with Israel.
In commemoration of a regional Islamic State emir that was assassinated last year, Jaish Khalid bin-Walid (ISIS franchise branch) dubbed the training camp ‘Abu Hashim’.
Photos, released by Jaish Khalid bin-Walid on Sunday, shows its heavily armed militants undergoing training at the Abu Hashim camp:
Squeezed into the southwestern corner of Syria, jihadist militants loyal to ISIS control a small pocket of some 20 villages and towns that neighbor the border with both Israel and Jordan.
Syrian opposition forces frequently clash with Jaish Khalid bin-Walid; however, the frontline itself has reached a deadlock since February 2017.
