BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – The Islamic State is secretly building up a significant fighting force in the embattled country of Yemen, utilizing sparsely populated desert areas and an ongoing civil war to set up jihadist training camps.
Newly released pictures published by Amaq Agency, the official ISIS outlet, purportedly shows ISIS militants undergoing training at an undisclosed location near Bayda.

Despite maintaining a minor underground presence across southern Yemen, ISIS mobilization is especially dense in the provinces of Al-Bayda, Lahij and Abyan which serve as fertile ground to recruit impoverished Yemenis to combat nearby Houthi forces.
Meanwhile, Houthi government forces have begun an offensive in western Yemen in a bid to recapture the port city of Mocha from Saudi-backed troops.
