BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 P.M.) – ISIS propaganda has released images from an apparently successful raid by the jihadist faction against a forward base belonging to the Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the southern countryside of Hasakah Governorate.

The assault on the Kurdish base appears to have been part of a tactical operation carried out by Islamic State militants during today’s early-dawn hours.

As far as the images show, it appears ISIS mustered a platoon-sized raiding force, mounted it into makeshift armored personnel carriers and then attacked the unsuspecting Kurdish outpost.

Fighters of the terrorist group can be seen coming to within storming range of the forward base, dismounting from their carriers, scaling the earth barrier which surrounds it and then blowing it up after obviously placing explosives on site.

According to ISIS, its forces assaulted the base, forced YPG forces to flee (not clarifying if any Kurdish fighters were killed) and then seized some weapons prior to blowing it up.

Could also be a simple training or propaganda video with no Kurdish base involved!

And using tracer bullets?
Good for movies or for an aircraft machine-gun or to look cool at the range, not really good for combat, especially at dusk/night/dawn : perfect to reveal your position…
Note they use “PKK” istead of YPG or SDF…
We can smell serious Turkish linkage as only Erdogan mistakes PKK with YPG.
