DAMASCUS, SYRIA (11:05 A.M.) – Despite withdrawing all its forces across the border into Syria last week, the Islamic State is yet to stop harassing the Iraqi Armed Forces and Popular Mobilization Units (PMU).

A series of photos released by Amaq Agency on Wednesday shows ISIS members based in a forrested area of southeastern Hasakah shelling a PMU garrison stationed in the Tall Safouk border crossing area between Iraq and Syria.

As the mortar shells struck all around the Iraqi border checkpoint, smoke could be seen rising all around the sand wall erected to protect the PMU garrison:

It remains unbeknownst to Al-Masdar News if the PMU retaliated or sustained any casualties due to the ISIS attack.
