DAMASCUS, SYRIA (1:10 A.M.) – ISIS commanders appear to have reached new levels of desperation in the battle for Raqqa, now turning on the very young to fend off Kurdish forces.

Abu Hurirah Al-Halabi, an indoctrinated child originating from Aleppo, faced his last moments due to this Islamic State policy, having been deployed as suicide bomber in an eastern Raqqa suburb on Wednesday:

Furthermore, Amaq Agency released images of a second more traditional-looking suicide bomber along with other battle footage of ISIS militants in the provincial capital of Raqqa:

Thus far in the battle for Raqqa, the Islamic State has opted for a strategy of tactical withdrawals followed by suicide bombings to inflict as many casualties upon US-backed Kurdish allies, making them pay a heavy price for every street inside what used to be ISIS’ foremost stronghold.
