BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:45 P.M.) – Military commander of the Syrian Revolutionaries Front rebel conglomerate, Bashair al-Numairi, was killed yesterday when an improvised explosive device (IED) targeted his car on the road between the towns of Zimrin and Um Al-Uosaj in northern Daraa Governortate.
The group which set up the roadside bomb attack is unknown.
As of the present time a ceasefire exists between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and FSA groups in Daraa Governorate.
As is often the case, the ceasefire between pro-government forces and militant groups has opened the way for the latter to start fighting among each other.
Most likely, the assassination was carried out by another rebel faction either due to an inner-dispute or, possibly even, as an act of revenge.
