BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:20 P.M.) – The Palestinian-led Jerusalem Brigade (Liwaa A.-Quds) continue their combing operations in the eastern part of Syria this week, as they attempt to eliminate more Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) sleeper cells between the Al-Raqqa, Homs and Deir Ezzor governorates.

According to the Jerusalem Brigade, their forces managed to destroy a number of Islamic State hideouts over the last few days, while also seizing the terrorist group’s equipment that was left behind by their fleeing fighters.

The Jerusalem Brigade has been reportedly combing through the Badiya Al-Sham region, which has a large presence of Islamic State sleeper cells throughout this desert area.

At the same time, the Jerusalem Brigade received a major boost in manpower this week, when the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) High Command sent reinforcements to the eastern countryside of the Homs Governorate.

In addition to Syrian Army soldiers, the reinforcements also consisted of reinforcements from the National Defense Forces (NDF).
