BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:00 P.M.) – US State Department spokesperson Heather Nauert said there was no reason for the US to give financial support to Palestinian Authority (PA) hospitals, while money was being spent on supporting the families of “terrorists”, speaking from Washington DC on Friday.
Nauert spoke in reference to the Taylor Force Act, a newly passed US legislation which threatens to stop American economic aid from funding the Palestinian Authority if the PA continue to pass on stipends to the families of those the US deems terrorists.
She went on to say that Palestinians should be funding the health care of their own people and it is not up to the United States to do so instead.
Turning to the subject of the Korean Peninsula, Nauert congratulated South Korea President Jae-In Moon for his successful meetings with his North Korean counterpart Kim Jong Un, which resulted in Chairman Kim’s decision to complete the dismantlement of a DPRK missile testing and launch site.
An IAEA inspector will participate in the dismantlement, Nauert confirmed.
