The President of the Palestinian Authority Mahmoud Abbas vowed to confront ‘the Israeli practices that continue to take over the land’ during the 29th round of the Palestinian Central Council in Ramallah on Wednesday.
“We meet today in this new Central Council, with the aim of evaluating the situations in which our people are going through, and for putting the agenda to implement the decisions of the National Council, especially to confront what is called the slap of the century,” Abbas began.
“We are confronting the Israeli practices that continue to take over the land and also the displacement of our people from Jerusalem and Khan Al-Ahmar. We send all greetings to our people in Khan Al-Ahmar.”
“Also, the laws in which the Israeli government intends to use to stop the Palestinian funds from the clearing because of what we pay for the prisoners and the families of martyrs and wounded.”
“We will not allow Israel to do that, even if we cut from our flesh, we will continue to provide the support and the aids to the prisoners and our people,” he added.
The meeting included several topics including drawing a mechanism to transform the Palestinian Authority from an authority into a state and redefining political, security and economic relations with Israel.
