More than 30,000 people are taking part in the yellow vest anti-government protests in France as demonstrations enter their ninth consecutive week, the BFMTV broadcaster reported on Saturday citing the Interior Ministry.

According to the broadcaster, 32,000 people were attending the protests across France and 8,000 in Paris as of 2:00 p.m. local time (13:00 GMT).

French police fired tear gas and rubber bullets at protesters in Paris earlier in the day after demonstrators hurled rocks and bottles at police near the Arc de Triomphe.

The wave of the so-called yellow vest protests — named after the obligatory attribute of French drivers — started in mid-November.
While the French government has scrapped its planned hike in diesel taxes, which is what initially sparked the protests, the yellow vests have evolved into a broader movement against government policies and rising living costs.
The rallies have been marked by violent clashes between protesters and the police.

ROFL! You must really smoke too much dope! Protests are a national sport in France and 32,000 repartitioned all over the country is NOTHING, LOL, I participated protests of 2 millions in Paris and added with provinces, it totalled about 6 millions and it ended with a single minister resigning. You have serious wet dreams if you think French state will collapse to something so unsignificant as 32,000! Even in May 68, when for near a month, the whole country was in general strike, the state didn’t collapsed, so let me laugh. Moreover, the right of protest and to do… Read more »

I don’t trust these yellow vests protesters, they don’t have political claim (Radical Islam, Foreign policy, Immigration), their claims are 99 % economic. This is a colored revolution created by the Trump administration, the NWO is divided about Iran and some foreign policies, they are hoping that this unrest will propagate until reaching Russia and then they will show their true ugly faces. There will be no major change in France because their claims are only about economy, the only good thing of this unrest is that the Rassemblement National is rising very fast !!! Go Go Marine !!!
