BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 A.M.) – Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Wednesday that only his country can control his proposed safe zone in northern Syria.

“We cannot entrust the control over the zone, from where a threat may be posed to us, to others. We will be the ones to do it”, Erdogan told the NTV television channel.

According to the Turkish leader, Syrians hope that Ankara would help them resolve the situation in the north of the country.

“Syrians have so much trust in Turkey that local tribes are urging us to take measures in [the northern Syrian city] of Manbij”, Erdogan added.

Erdogan has repeatedly stated that Turkey is seeking to establish a safe zone to protect his country’s border and eliminate the ‘terror’ threat east of the Euphrates.

He could add, “We have the Northern Cyprus model to show that we can hold it tightly more or less indefinitely….”

… After having looted/destroyed 3,000 years of historical and cultural heritage in Northern Cyprus 🙁 They occupy Constantinople and Thrace for way too long too.

That safe zone was his demand when he was very cosy with ISIS.

@DidierF, and it was called no fly zone when the Muslim Brother Sultan was still in bed with FSA mercenary troops at the beginning of his war against the Ba’ath system of the Syrian Republic.

The Sultan wants the annexation of all Northern and Eastern parts since the Syrian war was started, by the Muslim Brotherhood Turkish Sultanate, other Islamist states from the Gulf and the US henchmen they have bribed to support their oil war and spread of Islamist ideology.

It started on Assad refusing the Qatar-Turkey gas pipeline. It has never been about oil : Syria’s production of oil (or gas) is barely enough for domestic use only.

@Daeshbags-Sux, I know about the pipeline and Syria’s limited fossil energy production.

Use Google: “yet another oil war kennedy”.

I referred to the “oil wars” term used by Kennedy. He speaks about US oil wars in some of his articles while he called them “pipeline wars” in other articles. And You and I discussed this before. Or do we want to celebrate amnesia?

I didn’t know Erdogan is on LSD?

Worst than it : he’s on Islam. LSD makes peaceful hippies, not psychopathic jihadists. He’s likely on cocaine too : takes his dreams for reality, megalomaniac, paranoid and the dude is high on energy. CC is the favoured drug in politics…

Turkey can’t even control the madman she has as a president.
