BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:45 P.M.) – New air defense systems will soon be delivered to Damascus, according to Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the Russian General Staff Colonel General Sergei Rudskoy, speaking during a briefing in Moscow, on Wednesday.

“Russian specialists will continue training Syrian military personnel, as well as assist in the development of new air defense systems, the deliveries of which will be carried out in the near future,” he said.

According to him, the Syrian Defense Ministry “analyzed in detail” the results of the missile attack of the United States and its allies.

“Based on it, a number of changes have already been introduced into the air defense system of the country, which will further increase its reliability,” Rudskoy said.

While the air defense systems were not named, it is widely believed to be the S-300 system.

Israel should have quit while it was ahead. Their relentless violations of international law, and wagging the US military dog into missile strikes has resulted in a no-fly zone over Syria.

Keep it up. Soon Lebanon and Iraq will have S-300s and S-400s too.

Editing your script: Israel will fool around till an officially reluctant Putin will have someone else (officially not him) to create a de facto no-fly-zone covering most – if not all – the Shia Crescent.
Whether “officially” means “actually” or the opposite it’s each one’s guess.
