ALEPPO, SYRIA (12:35 P.M.) – As of 12:30 P.M. (Damascus Time), Liwaa Al-Quds (Palestinian paramilitary) and the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) imposed full control over the Handarat Refugee Camp in northern Aleppo.
According to the commander of Liwaa Al-Quds, his forces managed to breach Fatah Halab’s front-line defenses at the eastern neighborhoods, forcing the latter to retreat westward amid heavy gunfire and shelling.
With the capture of Handarat Refugee Camp today, several displaced Palestinians can return to their homes after spending more than three years inside the nearby Nayrab Refugee Camp in southern Aleppo.
In addition to humanitarian situation, the Syrian Armed Forces now possess an entrance to the northeastern districts of Aleppo city that have long been under the control of the jihadist rebels.
