The Syrian Al-Qaeda groups “Jabhat Al-Nusra” and “Jund Al-Aqsa” have seized the headquarters of the Free Syrian Army’s “Division 13” after an overnight battle for control of this military installation in Ma’arat Al-Nu’man.
With the capture of the Division 13 headquarters, Jabhat Al-Nusra and Jund Al-Aqsa are now in control of all weapons and buildings that belonged to the Free Syrian Army inside this large city in central Idlib.
The Free Syrian Army’s Division 13 has confirmed that Jabhat Al-Nusra and Jund Al-Aqsa have seized all of their weapons; however, they did not mention anything about their U.S. manufactured anti-tank TOW missiles.
According to social media activists in support of the Syrian opposition, Jabhat Al-Nusra attacked Division 13 after local demonstrations used the Free Syrian Army’s flag, rather than the Jabhat Al-Nusra banner.
Several narratives have been reported, but none of them can be verified.
