DAMASCUS, SYRIA (6:30 A.M.) – The jihadist rebels of Jaysh Al-Fateh (Army of Conquest) were likely unable to sleep last night, thanks in large-part to the Russian Air Force’s nonstop airstrikes over the southwestern countryside of Aleppo.
Beginning at dusk on Tuesday, the Russian Air Force hammered several villages under jihadist control in southwest Aleppo, killing and wounding several members of Jaysh Al-Fateh, while also disrupting their supply lines.
According to an Al-Masdar field correspondent, the Russian Air Forces specifically targeted the villages around the Al-Hos Mountains; this area in southwestern Aleppo reportedly has a high concentration of jihadist rebels from several Jaysh Al-Fateh factions.
In addition to the airstrikes over the southwestern countryside, the Russian Air Force also targeted Jaysh Al-Fateh’s main supply route from the Idlib Governorate town of Saraqib to the southern Aleppo village of Khan Touman.
These targeted areas have little-to-no civilian presence around, making them a top priority for the Russian Air Force in southwestern Aleppo.
