The next international meeting on Syria may be held in late January 2019, Russian Presidential Representative for Syria Alexander Lavrentyev told reporters on Wednesday.
“The meeting is most likely to be held in late January, though a decision has not been made yet,” he said.
According to the Russian envoy, January 23-24 will mark the second anniversary of the Astana process on Syria.
“In addition, it will also be an anniversary of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress held in Sochi. I think we will have something to talk about,” Lavrentyev said, commenting on the possible dates for the meeting.
