The new Russian ‘Terminator’ will have the latest ammunition with a remote fuse by 2020, the RBC General Director Yuri Nabokov told RIA Novosti today.

“Today, we are making every effort to complete the work on the creation of 30-millimeter ammunition with remote undermining, as you know, the Ministry of Defense has decided to adopt the BMPT (” Terminator “- Ed.), They have already gone through the Red Square. Today, we are preparing the party for the state tests, according to the test program, the whole cycle is expected to be completed in two years,” he said during the conference Digital Industry of Industrial Russia-2018.

The first contract for the supply to the Russian Armed Forces of BMPT ‘Terminator’ was signed during the scientific and technical forum “Army-2017”.

‘Uralvagonzavod’, which created the first version of the tank machine ‘Terminator-1’, offered this BMPT to the military department in 2000. In 2006, the UVZ created the ‘Terminator-2’ BMPT, the contract for the supply of which the Russian Defense Ministry signed only 11 years later at the “Army-2017” forum. The first customer of the Terminator type in 2011 was Kazakhstan.

As stated in the press service of UVZ, the contract for the supply of Terminators to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation will be executed in early 2019.
