BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 P.M.) – The battle for the strategic port-city of Hodeidah has recently intensified after troops loyal to the Yemeni government entered the provincial capital.

Led by the Yemeni Republican Guard and Southern Resistance Army, the pro-government troops have managed to capture several points inside and outside of Hodeidah city after a fierce battle with the Houthi forces.

As a result of these advances, the pro-government troops now find themselves on the verge of completely encircling the port-city.

If the pro-government troops are successful in enveloping Hodeidah city, the Houthi forces could find themselves in serious trouble, as this is the last major port under their control in western Yemen.
