In total, as part of the operation dubbed the “Caspian Sea Sword” in the media, the frigate “Dagestan” and the cruisers “Grad Sviyajesk”, “Uglich” and “Veliky Ustyug” fired 26 rockets against the terrorist forces.
On November 20, 2015, ships of the Caspian fleet launched a missile attack using at least 18 Kalibr cruise missiles, they continued.
“The missiles were forced to cross mountainous areas, hills, and forests. The missiles made 147 maneuvers during their flight to the targets of the attack. All the measuring devices succeeded in hitting the specified targets. At the same time, high accuracy was achieved,” they said.
“The deviation was likely no more than three meters. What can be considered an exceptional result,” the magazine added.
At the same time, the magazine pointed out that Kalibr cruise missile is a multi-functional complex that can hit not only ground targets, but also marine targets at distances of up to 350 kilometers.
For example, on January 9, 2020, the Kalibr missiles launched from the “Kolbino” submarine and the cruiser “Orekhovo-Zwevo” hit its specified targets.
