Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Muscat on Thursday where he was greeted by the country’s Sultan Qaboos bin Said al Said, as footage released on Friday shows.
The Israeli leader and his wife Sara Netanyahu were reportedly invited by the Sultan with whom Netanyahu last met in 1996.
As the two countries have no diplomatic relations, the recent visit is described in media as an apparent thaw in ties.
The two leaders reportedly discussed issues regarding advancing the Middle East peace process and the overall regional stability.
