Beirut, SANA – Lebanese Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah on Monday called for coordination between the Syrian and Lebanese armies against terrorism.

In a speech on the occasion of the Martyred Leaders’ commemoration held in Beirut, Sayyed Nasrallah said the acts of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization serve the U.S. and Israeli plots in the region, adding that “to know the real purposes behind ISIS acts , we should search about US, British intelligence and Israeli Mossad’s acts.”

“We should not deceive ourselves by differentiating between ISIS and Jabhet al-Nusra as they are both of the same essence, roots and mentality”, Nasrallah stressed, adding that all of the world’s countries, except for Israel, admit that ISIS poses a threat to the security of the region and the world alike.

He called upon the governments and peoples of the region to counter the Takfiri mentality without waiting for any so-called U.S. solution.

“The US is depleting our resources through the ISIS and is destroying the region with the aim of dominating it to achieve the Israeli interests,” Nasrallah said, highlighting that governments and peoples of the region are capable of overcoming all terrorist organizations without any international strategies or intervention.

Hezbollah Secretary-General said that counter-terrorism is a defense for Islam, adding that acts of ISIS are the most ugliest distortion of the true Islamic image.
