A huge explosion rocked Idlib today when a jihadist armament and ammunition depot was destroyed in the Bab Al-Hawa region that borders Turkey.

The facility belonged to the Jaish Al-Islam Islamist group. No casualties were reported and investigations are ongoing regarding the cause of the event.

Though there does remain a miniscule chance that an ISIS sleeper cell committed the act, it is more likely that a technical fault caused the mishap. Such technical errors are not unheard of and have happened numerous times with all factions in the Syrian conflict.
