BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:20 P.M.) – The Russian military has upped the ante in Syria after sending another batch of warships to the Port of Tartous.

According to Yoruk Isik of the Bosphorus Observer,  the Russian chartered Ro-Ro Sparta III was seen transiting the Bosphorus Strait en route for the Syrian port city of Tartous.

Furthermore, the Russian ship was seen carrying military cargo that is likely to be transported to the Syrian Arab Army and their allies in northwestern Syria.

Another ship was spotted leaving Russia recently; it was transporting military hardware to Syria, including BMPs, tanks, and technical vehicles.

With the Ro-Ro Sparta III heading to Syria, the Russian Navy now has more than 15 vessels in the Mediterranean, which is the largest naval buildup of this war.

If you want to intercept cruise missiles, S-300/S-400 are of very few interest : these are far too small and are flying far too low to be taken out at long range. What is useful is Pantsir and Syria received 40… 39 are left since one Pansir did the error to shoot at an Israeli warplane., which wasn’t very clever : Pantsir is a C-RAM (counter artillery-rocket-mortar), missiles are guided by radio from the battery to reduce costs. Try to engage a warplane, the warplane’s ECM will jam the radio-guidance and engage then destroy the battery as a threat. In… Read more »

Nothing will come out of this. US will still do whatever it wants to do and they have always got away. Sad truth.

Oh, the problem for Syria is not the Yanks. In fact, their presence in Rojava is even preventing a Turkish invasion of the whole east bank of the Euphrates.
The problem is the Ottoman Empire 2.0 fantasy and the Iranian imperialism, trying to Lebanonise Iraq, Syria, Yemen and also having views on Oman, Bahrain and east KSA too.

“transporting military hardware to Syria, including BMPs, tanks, and technical vehicles.”
=> Nothing here to prevent any volley of cruise missiles, thus,
“Amid fear of US attack” = click-bait!
