BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:00 A.M.) – Last night, the jihadist rebels launched a heavy attack on the Hmeimim Airbase in the southwestern region of the Latakia Governorate.

According to a military source in Latakia, the jihadist rebels launched several missiles towards the Russian installation from their positions in the neighboring Idlib Governorate.

The source said the Russian military quickly activated their air defense sirens and began shooting down the militant missiles before they could reach the installation.

He would add that the entire jihadist attack was repelled, with no missiles managing to hit any part of the Hmeimim Airbase.

Sunday’s attack by the jihadist rebels marks the second time in the last 48 hours that they have targeted the Hmeimim Airbase from their positions in nearby Idlib.

Typically, the Russian Air Force launches retaliatory strikes in response to these jihadist strikes; however, due to the temporary ceasefire in the Hama and Idlib governorates, the RAF has refrained from launching any attacks.

They should bomb Ankara in retaliation.

The Russians use the excuse for “friendship” and economic cooperation with Turkey not to have to end the terrorists in Syria. In fact, they do not want to do it for fear of the US. Every evasion is good, even as lame as a temporary ceasefire. Pathetic.

Putin will stop pleasing Erdogan until a Russia air basis be totally destroyed by terrorists (of course, with the help of USA-Israel-NATO (Turkey)). Then and only then, Russia will allow to have a full Syria-Russia-Hezbolah-Iran offensive on Idlib.
