BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:10 P.M.) – Unknown drones targeted the oil sites of the Turkish-backed militants in the eastern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate this evening, local activists reported.
According to the activists, the drones struck the oil sites inside the town of Tarheen, which is located in the Al-Bab District of northeastern Aleppo.
The explosions erupted shortly after the drones struck the oil sites, causing a massive fire at the oil sites controlled by the Turkish-backed militants in northeastern Aleppo.
No one has claimed responsibility for this latest attack on the oil sites of the Turkish-backed militants; however, the strikes were very likely carried out by the Russian Armed Forces, who have previously targeted the same facilities in the Al-Bab area.
The Russian Armed Forces have sought to prevent the Turkish-backed militants from smuggling oil out of Syria and have resorted to striking these sites in order to damage their ability to do so.
