DAMASCUS, SYRIA (6:25 P.M.) – A huge explosion ripped through the western outskirts of Idlib city, killing and injuring scores of militants and causing substantial destruction.
The explosion, according to local sources, hit a former factory currently used as a military base by the Syrian al-Qaeda offshoot; Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.
While some report spoke about a car bomb attack, HTS media said the facility was hit by a missile without giving any further details.
Given the significance of the base and the intensity of explosion, it is estimated that scores of jihadists, including top commanders, were killed.
