BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:45 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) resumed their offensive in the southern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate, today, targeting the last towns under the control of the jihadist rebels near the Idlib axis.

Led by their 124 Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Arab Army managed to capture over towns in southern Aleppo on Saturday, resulting in the mass exodus of jihadists from this imperative front in northern Aleppo.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Arab Army fully secured the Khanasser-Tal Daman-Arbeen Mountain Highway, which is approximately 45 kilometers long and stretches across the southern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.

The Syrian Army is expected to capture the last militant pocket in southern Aleppo in the coming hours, as most of the jihadists have fled the area already.
