En el día 50 de la ofensiva de Tabqa, las Fuerzas Democráticas Sirias (FDS) finalmente lograron derrotar a ISIS en la orilla del río Eufrates. Efectivamente, las fuerzas kurdas ahora pueden reagruparse para el importante empuje a la capital provincial.

El miércoles, las unidades de las FDS y del Consejo Militar de Manbij (CMM) -con el apoyo de la coalición estadounidense- lograron imponer el control total sobre los suburbios de Hay Tani, Salis y el sector sur de la presa de Tabqa después de eliminar los últimos nidos de francotiradores de ISIS.

Los zapadores kurdos ahora se han introducido en Tabqa para desminar y las áreas nuevamente liberadas. Mientras tanto, las FDS también anotaron una serie de avances en el campo del norte de Raqa.

Después de reanudar la fase cuatro de la ofensiva “Ira del Éufrates”, las FDS y el CMM se moverán cada vez más cerca de la ciudad de Raqa desde sus flancos occidental, norte y sur mientras que el Estado Islámico se prepara para la batalla en su autoproclamada capital.
