Las Fuerzas Democráticas Sirias (FDS), lideradas por los kurdos y respaldadas por Estados Unidos, han capturado otro distrito dentro de la ciudad de Raqa, después de una dura batalla con la organización terrorista del Estado Islámico (ISIS) en la capital provincial.

Según la Coalición de Estados Unidos, las Fuerzas Democráticas Sirias tomaron el control total del Distrito al-Qudsiyah este domingo, después de lanzar un poderoso ataque en la parte occidental de la ciudad de Raqa.

Además de la captura de al-Qudsiyah, las Fuerzas Democráticas Sirias también entraron en los distritos de Yarmouk y Darayeh del Estado Islámico, informaron los activistas de los medios de las FDS el domingo por la noche.

Sin fuerzas para retirarse, las fuerzas del Estado Islámico dentro de la ciudad de Raqa probablemente se retirarán de varios puntos dentro de la capital provincial para consolidar sus posiciones antes de que las Fuerzas Democráticas Sirias lancen un último empujón.
