Aleppo, Syria – A military source informed Al-Masdar about the capture of the village of Ain Al-Jahsh after heavy clashes with Islamic State terrorists north of Kuweirus Airbase in Aleppo’s eastern countryside.
The advance comes less than 24 hours after the conquest of Madiounah village and its adjacent farms in addition to Al-Ma’moun College showing a consistent collapse in ISIS’s defenses around their largest Aleppo stronghold.
The elite Tiger Forces are now positioned at less than seven kilometers from the city of Tadef that represents the terror group’s last line of defense from Al-Bab.
Should the government troops continue their steady advance on Al-Bab, capturing the IS stronghold before the stagnating Turkish forces to the north may well be within reach.
Notably, the aforementioned city has proven to be a burden for the Euphrates Shield forces that have yet to enter the city after dozens of attempts. Turkish tanks and armored vehicles litter Al-Bab’s vicinity.
