BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:40 P.M.) – The Syrian Armed Forces didn’t waste much time assaulting the Islamic State’s (ISIS) newest reinforcements in Deir Ezzor, launching several airstrikes and ground attacks against these terrorist combatants in eastern Syria.

Syrian fighter jets kicked off the day by conducting more than 30 airstirkes over the Deir Ezzor Governorate, targeting the Islamic State’s positions at the villages of Albu ‘Umar, Al-Muri’iyah, Al-Jafrah, and Al-Hosn.

In addition to their airstrikes over the aforementioned villages, the Syrian Air Force also attacked the Islamic State’s defenses at a number of districts inside the provincial capital, including Al-Baghiliyah, Al-Rashidiyah, Al-Hussiniyeh, and Al-Rusafah.

According to a military source at the Deir Ezzor Airport, the Syrian Armed Forces killed dozens of Islamic State fighters across the province on Wednesday, while also destroying at least 10 armored vehicles.

A senior officer from the Syrian Arab Army also told Al-Masdar News on Wednesday that their forces destroyed 1 car bomb in Al-Rashidiyah and shot down an armed drone above Tal Brouk.

I would be very glad to know how many men ISIS lost here since the beggining of the siege.
Deir ezzor is a very strong argument against the ones who say SAA are weak or cowards … so far nobody resisted so long against ISIS in a surrounded area to my knowledge
