El grupo rebelde Ejército Libre Sirio (ELS), apoyado por Estados Unidos, atacó las posiciones del Ejército sirio en el campo de refugiados de Handarat en el noreste de Alepo con unas nuevas lanzaderas BM-21 Grad.

Una cuenta de Twitter pro-rebelde publicó un video que muestra a un grupo de combatientes del Ejército Libre Sirio (ELS) desembalando los misiles y posteriormente disparando un lanzacohetes.

La agencia Reuters ha publicado las declaraciones de un comandante rebelde quien confirma que algunos países occidentales han proporcionado recientemente a las facciones afiliadas del Ejército Libre Sirio (ELS) ‘considerables cantidades’ de lanzacohetes para hacer frente a la ofensiva que se está llevando a cabo contra las fuerzas rebeldes de Alepo oriental.

“Las lanzaderas Grad tienen un rango de 22-40 km y se utilizan en las batallas contra las fuerzas del régimen en Alepo, Hama y Latakia”, dijo el coronel Faris al-Bayoush, comandante militar rebelde y antiguo oficial del Ejército sirio.

Los combates en Alepo y Hama han aumentado significativamente desde que fracasó el alto el fuego acordado por Estados Unidos y Rusia.
