BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) – The arrest of a Druze opposition leader in Al-Sweida brought about an armed conflict last night between a group of locals and the Syrian military intelligence.

According to local reports, a group of locals stormed the Syrian military intelligence headquarters on Sunday evening after they accused the latter of arresting the opposition activist, Muhannad Shahebeddine, in Sweida city.

The locals then seized the military intelligence building and took at least ten officers hostage.

The following day, the locals agreed to release the officers and leave the area after negotiating with the Syrian government.

On Monday, the locals have warned of another attack against the military intelligence forces if Shahabeddine is not released.

The situation in Sweida still remains tense between the military intelligence forces and the locals loyal Shahabeddine.

The insurrection against the SDF continue to increase in the northeastern Syria, SDF losing many men, protests, attacks, killing hit the SDF controlled regions. SDF weaker day by day, it is a good thing for the government forces 🙂

SDF is losing some men and women. yes, they are used to that after so many years of fighting. They are winning against the sleeper cells though.Slowly. SAA and NDF and rebels are losing a manyfold of SDFA losses SDF has very light losses momentary and is recruiting full speed. Their numbers are growing rapidly. The weakening of SDF is just wishfull thinking. A phantasy. More justly, the same can be claimed on SAA and NDF, both of whom are very weak, outside a few crack units like Tiger Forces. To top that, the command structure of SAA seems to… Read more »

Seeing as the SAA has regained most of their country back at great sacrifice and that the SDF only has possession of a small non-essential territory, your comment seems more like a rant than reality.

Firstly SAA had most of their fighting done by proxies. Like Hezbollah, Iranians, wagner, Iraqis etc. They hardly have any competent forces themselves, other then Tiger forces.

SDF did their own fighting, other than airsupport, like SAA got from Russians.

As for non essential territory, well, if you consider most electricity generating, the majority of food stuff and majority of oil as non essential, then you are right. But, if so non essential, it must b e easy for Assad to accept autonomy. Who wants to govern 30% of Syria that is just a wasteland. Right?

Typical. Israel does not seem to have that problem. Druze are highly valued citizens in Israel.

Druze in Israel are loyal citizens and are very much involved in the IDF. They made up a large part of the Golani brigades that defeated Syrians, SAA in the 1973 war in the Golan heights. Many of them even volonteer and are professional soldiers, defending their beloved homeland against sectarian invaders.

Prostitutes and eunuchs? They do not have another one. Maybe the Jews will use them for the adoptive parents. The Jews are well-multiplied; soon afterwards, new Jews come from Iran and Germany.

Sloppy and arrogant not to take precautions after being warned.Have these secret police morons learned nothing from the last 7 years ?

People will not put up with arresting secret police officers. Those have been murdering and torturing for too long. They should be cleansed. All secret police involved in murdering and torturing opposition should be hanged as well as their commanders and political leaders, up to Assad if he was involved in any way.

I kinda wish you were there instead of receiving money to say something that seems true, but it’s most of the time twisted to prove your sponsor point of view. Alas, have a good life with those earnings.
