BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:00 P.M.) – Hezbollah’s official media wing announced on Tuesday evening that at least 19 militants have been released by the pro-government National Defense Forces (NDF) in the predominately Shi’i village of Al-Fou’aa tonight.

The 19 militants were transported from Al-Fou’aa to Idlib City as part of this new agreement between the Syrian Government and opposition forces.

The militants in Idlib are expected to release up to 17 civilians that were kidnapped by their forces from the villages of Al-Fou’aa and Kafraya in the coming hours.

This is actually a very good deal. By relieving these two besieged pockets as well as capturing the last holdouts in West Damascus countryside the SAA will have a large surplus of soldiers from the garrison at Fuah and Kafraya as well as the attack force at al Zabadani – this would give them a good amount of soldiers to deploy to either Aleppo, Palmyra, or Hama.
