BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:42 A.M.) – The head of the White Helmets, Raed al-Saleh, has claimed that more than 80,000 lives have been saved in Syria since 2013.
The unsubstantiated claims were made at the TEDxNishtiman in Erbil city, northern Iraq.
This would effectively mean that the White Helmets have saved an average of 36 people a day.
The supposed humanitarian group that has links to al-Qaeda, consists of 2,900 workers often described as volunteers. However, in the past the so-called volunteer group has threatened to stop working because there wages had been delayed.
In January this year, Vanessa Beeley of 21st Century Wire exposed the Al-Qaeda links to the White Helmets.
