BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:10 A.M.) – The battle for central Syria has recently heated up following the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) large-scale assault on the Islamic State’s (ISIS) positions in eastern Salamiyah.

Units from the 4th Mechanized Division and Qalamoun Shield forces liberated the Islamic State’s last positions in the Salamiyah pocket, Wednesday, forcing the terrorist group to retreat south towards the Homs Governorate border.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Arab Army managed to split the Islamic State’s pocket in central Syria, leaving them with no way to reach the Syrian rebel front-lines in the Idlib Governorate.

The Syrian Army’s High Command will likely give the Islamic State another ultimatum: surrender their last positions in exchange for transportation to another area or prepare for a full siege.

  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
