ALEPPO, SYRIA (1:50 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) cruised past the jihadist defenses in western Aleppo on Friday, capturing two imperative suburbs they lost late last month.

Led by their elite Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army began the day by seizing the strategic Minyan Suburb after overrunning Jaysh Al-Fateh’s (Army of Conquest) last-line of defense.

The Minyan Suburb is important to the Syrian Arab Army because of its proximity to the New Aleppo District, which is considered one of the most important government-controlled areas in the provincial capital.

Continuing their advance in west Aleppo, the Tiger Forces turned their attention to the Al-assad Suburb on Friday evening.

Within hours of launching their attack on the Al-Assad Suburb, the Syrian Armed Forces breached Jaysh Al-Fateh’s main-line of defense and forced them to withdraw from the area before being overrun.

As a result of Friday’s advance, the Syrian Armed Forces have now recovered almost every site they lost to the jihadist rebels since early September.
