BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:20 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored another big advance in the West Ghouta region of Damascus this past weekend, capturing several hilltops overlooking the key town of Mughar Al-Mir.

Led by the 42nd Brigade of the 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Arab Army continued their assault on Sunday morning by storming the large hilltops of Dhahr Al-Aswad and Tal Ziyat.

The Syrian Arab Army’s 42nd Brigade and their allies would take control of these large hilltops located east of Mughar Al-Mir after a fierce battle with the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham.

With these hilltops captured, the Syrian Army is now preparing to offer terms to the jihadist rebels that would see them transferred to the Idlib Governorate in exchange for Mughar Al-Mir and Beit Jinn.
