BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:10 P.M.) – The last Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) commander in southern Syria was killed by the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) earlier today, a military source in Al-Sweida told Al-Masdar News.
According to the source, the Chechen emir of Daesh “Abu Hajer Al-Shishani” was killed during the Syrian Arab Army’s operation to liberate the Al-Safa volcano.
The Daesh commander was reportedly killed alongside many of his bodyguards and officers that were also defending the Al-Safa volcano from the advancing Syrian Army troops.
Earlier this afternoon, the Syrian Arab Army managed to score a major advance in Al-Safa, paving the way for their troops to seize this volcano and more than 80 percent of this rugged region in southern Syria.
The Syrian Army is now combing through the last areas still occupied by the Daesh terrorists to the west of the Al-Safa volcano.
