El martes por la noche, las fuerzas encabezadas por los huzíes renovaron su asalto a la ciudad portuaria occidental de Mocha, infligiendo bajas a las fuerzas respaldadas por Arabia Saudí.

Según el corresponsal de Yemen de Al-Masdar News, Naseh Shaker, un soldado de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos y ocho soldados del gobierno yemení con sede en Aden murieron en enfrentamientos en la costa de la provincia de Taiz.

El soldado de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos fue identificado como Hassan Abdullah Mohammed al-Bashr por los medios estatales y el Ejército de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos. Fue asesinado en la región de Zahari, al norte del puerto de Mocha, en el Mar Rojo.

Hasta ahora, hasta 85 soldados de los Emiratos Árabes Unidos han sido eliminados desde que la coalición dirigida por Arabia Saudí lanzó su intervención en apoyo del Presidente en el exilio Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi en marzo de 2015.
