Large protests against forced conscription by US-backed forces continue in Raqqa

BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:20 A.M.) – A large number of civilians continued their protests against forced conscription into the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the provincial capital of Raqqa.

Most of the protesters are Arab residents from Raqqa city who don’t want to serve in the Syrian Democratic Forces.

These protests were conducted on the same day that the predominately Arab Thuwar Raqqa Army and Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) clashed inside of Raqqa city over these forced conscription.
