BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:45 P.M.) – A large number of reinforcements from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and National Defense Forces have arrived in the Idlib Governorate over the last 72 hours.
According to a source from the Syrian military, the army sent several units of reinforcements from the Hama and Latakia governorates to the Idlib front, where they will await orders to resume their Jabal Al-Zawiya and Ariha offensives.
A source earlier in the week told Al-Masdar that the Syrian Army is preparing to kickoff a new attack that will concentrate on the Jisr Al-Shughour front.
The source specified the Syrian Army will be pushing north from the Jabal Al-Zawiya region towards the Jisr Al-Shughour District in the western countryside of the Idlib Governorate.
The city of Jisr Al-Shughour is one of the most important cities that is located along the strategic M-4 Highway (Aleppo-Latakia Highway).
Should the jihadist rebels refuse to leave the M-4 Highway by the end of March, the Syrian Army will respond by resuming their offensive in the Idlib Governorate.
