BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:00 P.M.) – Kuwait and Jordan stand in solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against any accusations related to the disappearance of journalist Jamal Khashoggi, the Saudi Press Agency reported this afternoon.

Quoting a statement from the Kuwaiti cabinet on Monday, the SPA reported that the former is standing in solidarity with Saudi Arabia.

“The State of Kuwait stands in opposition against all the accusations and unlawful campaigns targeting the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in relation to the case of Journalist Jamal Khashoggi,” the SPA report said.

“In a statement, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh said that the strong relations between Kuwait and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia dictated the current Kuwaiti position on the issue,” they continued.

In regards to the Kingdom of Jordan, Information Minister Jumana Ghunaimat said that her country will stand in support of Saudi Arabia against any accusations from foreign nations.

It’s surprising considering how King Abdullah of Jordan seemed very against his brothers working with Saudi Arabia last year. This smells fishy.
